Since kindle for windows doesn´t work anymore with new books, I´ve buy a kindle paperwhite. But even with the serial number, epubor doesn´t show the reader. What am I missing?
I would like an answer to this too, as I am having the same problem. I put in my serial number, but what else do I need to do for it to recognize my kindle fire when connected via USB to computer?
Oh no, it has to be a paperwhite? I don't have that, but a Fire HD. It does show up on my computer when I connect it with the USB cable from amazon, however it will not be detected by the Epubor Ultimate program. I even inputted it's serial number into it, and it still doesn't acknowledge it. my computer does, but not the program.
Yes, I´m using the original cable but the kindle doesn´t show as a drive but as an external device. Once I click on it, it opens up and I can copy from/to it. Maybe that´s the issue. Tried many cables and either kindle only charges and doesn´t appear or it appears as I´ve said before.
Well, I think I know why this is happening. Since I´m using the new paperwhite, it´s on MTP protocol, and that causes the issue. At least with the new update i´m able to going back to kindle for windows, so Epubor is still working just fine.
