As of August, 2020, Amazon stopped providing the offline downloading option with Kindle Cloud Reader, which makes things more difficult if we want to download Kindle books without a Kindle app. Are there any third-part tools or walkarounds which help us to convert Kindle Cloud Reader to PDF?

Method 1. Use Print-to-PDF Feature via Browser (One Page)
Visit read.amazon.com and sign in with your amazon account so that you can access your Kindle Cloud Reader library online.
Double-click on one book's cover to open the book and then right click and select "Print"(press Ctrl + P Windows or Command + P Mac).
Kindle comics or mangas are not allowed to print any pages at all;
Kindle novels can be printed for one page but the blank page appears (it means the print-to-pdf feature is nearly useless).
Kindle Samples can be printed and saved as PDF but we can only print one page. It means we must print page by page.

Method 2. Use Kindle Cloud Reader to PDF Downloader (Chrome Extension)
The Kindle Cloud Reader to PDF Downloader chrome extension allows us to download and save flipbooks from kindle cloud reader as PDF. It scans through all available pages, extracts high-quality images, and compiles them into a downloadable PDF file.

First, add it to Chrome. Continue, visit the Kindle Cloud Reader kinde library and open one Kindle book online.
Now switch to select the Kindle Cloud Reader to PDF extension and click on "SCAN PAGES".
When the scanning is finished, click "SAVE AS PDF".
It takes me nearly 30 minutes to download a 456 pages' book. Extractly speaking, it's useful for those people who would like to print limited pages for Kindle books, but it's tedious for full books. Another fact is that Kindle comic books/ graphic novels are not supported by this extension.

Though, the print extension is free, but to get the combines PDF book, you should pay the service because the provider puts watermarks on the combined flippdf file. You won't get a readable or backupable PDF book if you use this extension, and you are not allowed to edit or copy text from the flippdf file as it's caputured from the online KCR page. Saving as PDF gives you a fixed layout with no way of changing how the book looks.
Note: There are several similar extensionts, for example, Kindle2PDF, also support converting (taking screenshots and OCR) kindle cloud reader books to pdf online free. You can try, but I would say nearly none of them works for downloading all pages of one book.

Walkaround 1. Use Calibre and Plugins (Free Offline Method)
Calibre and the DeDRM Plugin (latest version 10.0.15 works for Kindle for PC V2.8.0) helps convert Kindle book (all pages) if you downloaded via the Kindle app or Kindle eInk device. It's totally free, but not so easy to configure the plugins.

It's at high risk of getting a KFX-ZIP error. And it won't work for Kindle Mac users.
Walkaround 2. Use Specialized Software Epubor Ultimate (Convert KCR in Bulk)
Epubor Ultimate is a third-party software that helps extract Kindle books from your Kindle online library and save them in PDF, ePub, AZW3 and DOCX format for offline backup.

It's much easier to use than Calibre with its plugins. What's better, it supports converting Kindle books in bulk. There is no need for you to add plugins one by one, or add kindle books one by one. It saves a lot of time.
| Print KCR Books | Print to PDF | Chrome extension | Calibre Kindle Plugins (Windows) | Epubor Ultimate (Windows/Mac) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kindle Books | No | Yes | Yes | Yes |
| Kindle Comics | No | No | Yes | Yes |
| Kindle Samples | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes |
According to Amazon you only paid for a license to the book, you didn't pay for the book itself. So, I don't recommend you print or capture limited pages of limited Kindle books from the Kindle Cloud Reader. Download your Kindle books from Kindle library with Kindle PC/Mac app or Kindle eReader, and then extract your books with either Calibre or Epubor Ultimate and save them as editable PDF format, then you can even copy text from your Kindle books, edit the kindle book, translate the kindle book into another language, upload kindle book onto AI tool to get more info.
Walkaround 3. Purchase DRM-free versions or ePub/PDF versions When Available
Most Kindle books have Digital Rights Management protection. But it doesn't mean we are not able to purchase DRM free versions. Some publishers sell PDF versions on their websites, we can check sites like Gumroad, Internet Archive, or author websites. What's more, we can also try to look for PDF versions from other retailers like Kobo, Libby.
Remember: Always respect authors' rights and publishers' distribution choices. Download KCR books to PDF and save as a copy for personal use.

but I have had this software for many years it’s brilliant I use it regularly as I like to have my books on my IPad so change the
various formats to epub.I buy books and expect to be able to do what ever I want with my property and not be dictated to my ebook sellers
I would need it for personal use, not for sharing with others.
I prefer PDFs format to take note, copy and paste to translate, etc...
For personal use please.
And if in fact, the drm removing is based on your kindle account or your kindle e-ink device KSN.
Thank you for using the trial version of kcr converter. The trial version only converts 3 books in total. To convert all your books, please purchase the license tor register this software.
