DRM removal in progress, but it never moves from 0%

If I understand correctly, the latest version of Epubor Ulitmate can now remove DRM from from  kindle KFX files  downloaded by the Kindal Windows Reader App.  My Ulitmate version is v3.0.15.912.  The Kindal Ap version 2.0.0 (70301).

When I buy a Kindal book it shows up in the Kindal app and I can download and read it in the app.  The book also shows up in Epubor Ultimate.  

When I drag and drop the file to the right pane, a message pops up saying the DRM is being removed, but it never moves beyond 0%.  Am I doing something wrong?

May I ask if you have the same issue with all your Kindle books?

Please send us the book you downloaded from the Kindle app and the key files from Epubor Ultimate so we can test them and identify the issue.

Did you ever resolve this? I have several that do this also. It will freeze the whole program on my Macbook. I'm side-loading from an old Kindle touch. My book was purchased before Jan 2023, also.

Please use "Download and transfer via usb" to download your kindle books to your mac computer, and then use our software to remove drm: https://www.epubor.com/download-and-transfer-via-usb-kindle.html#p1

Hi, I am trying to remove DRM from one of the AZW file (the content is only available on Fire/windows/mac/android) and the progress of removing DRM never go pass 0%

While I had successfully remove other kindle purchased books.

Hi, I had the same issue. I cannot remove DRM= with Epubor Ultimate v3.0.16.286.
The screen has a warning: "The program is removing the DRM encryption. Please wait for this to finish"
And the bar still on 0%. I left it the whole night. Zero, nothing.
It is not only with one specific EBOK. All of them I am trying, the same problem.
Could you be so kind to help me? Much appreciated!!

I am having the same issue. The screen says "The program is removing the DRM encryption. Please wait for this to finish" However, it never finishes. The bar stays at 0%; there is no change. This is happening with every single Kindle book I have. Please advise

Please ensure that you are using the latest version of Epubor Ultimate.
Please make sure your Kindle device is not plugged into your computer.

Same problem. Epubor Ultimate freezes at 0% trying to remove DRM and screen reads "The program is removing the DRM encryption. Please wait for this to finish". Pls help. Thanks.

Same problem as the others. I have just purchased the latest equbor version, so don't ask stupid questions. I have used it previously, without problems in 2022. But when I came back to use it this year my older version wouldn't work, so I bought the latest version anew. Now I feel I have wasted my money, since older Kindle books I had success with on the previous version, are also freezing at 0% DRM removal.
Something is seriously wrong if it won't remove drms from books it did previously and is not removing it from the latest books either.
