I am trying to convert an audible book to mp3. First it converted to M4B format, so I hit the "convert to mp3" button at the bottom. It has been working on this for nearly an hour. How long does it typically take?

That's depends on the length of the original audible file.
Epubor tool works 60X faster. For example, if the original aax file is one hour, the conversion will be 1 minute.
Any video conversion and audio conversion will take time to process, please be patient.

@Epubor Angel: I also experience a much slower conversion. I started to convert all of my 600 books about 24h ago... 20 of them are converted till now. Actually it converts a file of 23 hours and 15 minutes. 1% takes 3 minutes and 5 seconds but when i calculate it right, 1% should be done in 13,95 seconds when the conversion would be at a speed of 60x. My CPU (Intel i7-7700HQ) is bored and has nothing to do (10% on one core used by your tool). RAM usage is at 118MB of 32GB. Both, the source and the destination files are on a Samsung 970 EVO (Sequencial Read: 3409MB/s and sequencial write: 2427MB/s. The files, i downloaded from Audible are only at normal quality and are to be converted to simple mp3 (split by chapter). How can i speed this up? 30 days conversion time for my files is definitely too long.

If you need convert audible books with higher speed, convert audible to M4B please.
