Don’t have a compatible Windows or Mac computer for DeDRM? No problem!
You can use this workaround: Download your Kindle books using the Kindle for Android app inside an Android emulator. Here’s how:
Step 1Install Calibre
Download and install calibre here
Step 2Install Python
Download the latest Python installer here. Then run the downloaded .exe file. During the installation, check these two important options: Add Python to PATH and Install for all user(recommended).
Step 3Install LDPlayer 14
Download LDPlayer 14 directly from https://www.ldplayer.net.
Step 4Configure LDPlayer Settings
Open Settings inside LDPlayer > Turn on Root Permission > Set ADB Debugging to Enable remote connection > Click Save Settings > Restart LDPlayer for the changes to take effect.
Step 5Install Kindle for Android in LDPlayer
1. Open the Google Play Store, sign in with your Google account.
2. Search for “Kindle” in the Play Store and install the app.
3. Open the Kindle app and sign in with your Amazon account. Finally, tap each book cover to download your books.
Step 6Download DeDRM Tool
Download the DeDRM script to the Desktop here. Then extract it.
Step 7Install Python Dependencies
Navigate to the unzipped DeDRM script folder, then right-click in the empty space inside the folder and select Open in Terminal.
Run the following command in the Terminal to install the required tools: python -m pip install -r requirements.txt
Step 8Remove Kindle DRM
1. Double click Run_keyfinder.bat > Run > Click Yes to "Allow this app to make changes to this device".
2. It will launch the configuration wizard, then click Next until you reach the final screen, then click Finish & Save.
3. Enter Y to install missing calibre plugins automatically.
4. The tool will start decrypting your Kindle books. All decrypted files are saved to your Calibre Library: C:\Users\%USERNAME%\Calibre Library. Ebooks are automatically converted to EPUB format, while comics and manga are converted to PDF.
Note: Keep both the LDPlayer and Kindle for Android running during the process.
