For Mac users, the only effective solution to remove Kindle DRM is to use the 'Download & Transfer via USB' option, requiring an e-ink Kindle device. This method downloads AZW3 files, which can be decrypted using Epubor Ultimate.
Step 3Remove Kindle DRM
Launch Epubor Ultimate, your Kindle books, downloaded via Kindle for PC, will be automatically imported and displayed under the Kindle tab. Alternatively, use the Kindle tab in the toolbar to auto-detect newly downloaded Kindle books. Select book titles on the left side bar and drag & drop them to the window on the right to remove Kindle DRM.

I can download my kindle library to my Mac, currently running Sonoma OS. Or aould it be better to use a Mac running an older OS ?
Can I drag titles to the epubultimate program, select a format and will the book convert ?
Which format is better for reading on Pocketbook and possibly Kobo ?

1. You can download kindle books on Mac, but you need to use the latest version of kindle app, like 7.4. Please note the kindle books downloaded via the latest version of kindle app cannot be decrypted by Epubor Ultimate or any other software on the market.
2. If you need to use the kindle books on Kobo or Pocketbook reader, you can convert the kindle books to epub format.
3. If you need to read kindle books on Pocketreader or kobo, you need to remove drm and then convert them to epub format.
