Google Play Books are typically in EPUB or PDF format, often with DRM protection, which prevents them from being read on ereader like Kindle, Kobo, or Nook without conversion. Here’s how you can read Google Play books on Kindle, Kobo, Nook, and more.
1. Download Google Play Books to Computer
1Go to Google Play Books Library and access your purchased books.
2Export Books from Google Play Library.
Google Play Books provides four export options: EPUB, PDF, ACSM for EPUB, or ACSM for PDF. On the book you want to export, click the three-dot icon in the lower right corner of the cover and export EPUB, PDF, or ACSM.
Note: ACSM files are DRM protected and require Adobe Digital Editions for access and download. However, EPUB and PDF files are DRM-free, allowing direct viewing on supported ebook readers.
3Download and Install Adobe Digital Editions.
Adobe Digital Editions is required to download ACSM files as EPUB or PDF. Download Adobe Digital Editions here
After installing ADE, open it and sign in with your Adobe ID and password to authorize it. Without authorization, ACSM files will not download properly.
Note: In order to transfer Google Play books to Kobo/Nook ereader, please make sure to create an Adobe ID with the same email you used to register Kobo/Nook.
4Open ACSM with Adobe Digital Editions.
Add the ACSM file to ADE. It will trigger the download process.
5Locate Downloaded Files.
Once the download is complete, find the EPUB and PDF files on your computer at: C:\Users\[User name]\Documents\My Digital Editions
2. Remove DRM from Google Play Books
Epubor Ultimate is a powerful DeDRM tool for removing DRM from Google Play Books. Follow these steps:
Step 1Download and Install Epubor Ultimate.
Step 2Remove DRM from Google Play Books.
Google Play books downloaded via ADE appear under the "Adobe" tab in Epubor Ultimate software. From there, move them to the main window on the right to remove DRM from Google Play books.
After decrypting Google Play books, you can find DRM free EPUBs and PDFs by clicking the book folder icon on the lower right corner of the software.
3. Transfer Google Play Books to Kindle/Kobo/Nook
1. Transfer Google Play Books to Kobo/Nook
If you create an Adobe ID using the same email as your Kobo or Nook account, you can directly transfer Google Play Books to these devices via Adobe Digital Editions (ADE). Without this, the transfer won’t work. Follow these steps to transfer Google Play Books to your Kobo or Nook with ADE:
1. Connect Your eReader: Plug in your Kobo/Nook via USB. When ADE detects your device, it will appear in the left panel. Click on your device, then select the gear icon and choose "Authorize Device."
2. Authorize Your Device: Click "Authorize Device" and then "OK" to complete the process.

3. Transfer the Book: Click "All Items" in ADE to locate the Google Play Book you want to transfer. Right-click the book cover and select "Copy to Computer/Device" > "eReader." Safely eject your eReader, and the Google Play book will appear in your Kobo or Nook library.
Alternative Method: Manually Transfer DRM-Free Googe Play Books to Kobo/Nook
If you don’t want to create an Adobe ID with the email you used to register Kobo/Nook, since Kobo and Nook support EPUB and PDF natively, you can transfer DRM-free Google Play books to Kobo and Nook manually as well.
2. Transfer Google Play Books to Kindle
Although Kindle does not natively support EPUB, you can use Amazon's Send to Kindle service to transfer DRM-free Google Play Books. This service automatically converts EPUB files into a Kindle-compatible format, such as AZW3, ensuring optimal readability. Refer to this guide for step-by-step instructions on using Send to Kindle to transfer Google Play Books to Kindle.
Conclusion
With these methods, you can enjoy Google Play Books on any eReader of your choice. Additionally, Epubor Ultimate serves as an excellent tool for removing DRM from Google Play books.

Have a nice day!
I followed the steps to read the Google play books on kindle
But unfortunately when I open the book on kindle it says
"an error occurre. If you purchased this item from Amazon, delete the item and download it from the cloud"
What does that mean?
Any more problem, please feel free to contact us via support@epubor.com.
When I try to drag a book in from my desktop, it says "does not support eBook format". Isn't this the whole point of this software that I just spent $30 Canadian on? I briefly looked in the help info, but it is long, arcane and not really well, helpful. It would be nice if this was intuitive to use, but at least for me, it's not.
Also, I tried for the free trial, but when I open the software after downloading, it wouldn't let me do anything without paying for a licence.
All and all very frustrating. I am going to ask for a refund and to delete my account.
