Thank you for contacting us. To solve this problem, go to System Preferences>Security & Privacy. On the General Tab click the little lock in the lower left corner to unlock the general preference pane. Then select the Anywhere radio button beneath Allow applications downloaded from.

What an awful process.
* The instructions are not documented on the epubor website anywhere near the macOS download section.
* The instructions do not apply to recent macOS versions.
* The application deserves to be signed by an approved development license, so that the user doesn't have to jump through hoops just to install the program.
* The application should be published on the official Mac App Store.
