Once you order the Epubor Kobo Converter, you will receive a confirmation email with a license code. To register it, please click the yellow key icon at the top right corner, and input your license email and code.
3. Deregister
If you need to deregister the Epubor Kobo Converter, please click the red icon on the upper right to register with this software.
4. Uninstall
You can search for this software on your computer and click "Uninstall" to remove it.
Part 3: Epubor Kobo Converter Tutorials
Epubor Kobo Converter works with an Android emulator. Why? Because Kobo audiobooks can only be listened to and downloaded on the Kobo for Android and iOS app. To download your Kobo audiobooks to a PC/Mac, it is necessary to install an Android emulator on your computer.
First, you need to install Android Studio and the Kobo for Android APK to download your Kobo books.
Then convert Kobo ebooks to epub and audiobooks to mp3 with Kobo Converter.
Step 1. Download and Install Android Emulator on Windows and Mac
Install Android Emulator -- LD Player on Windows
On Windows, please download and install LDPPLAYER 9 from the below link.
Download LDPLAYER9 from its offical website
Then click Settings icon at the top-right corner >>Other settings>>Enable "Root permission" and choose "Open remote connection" for ADB debugging.
Finally click on "Save settings". A new window will prompt, asking whether you would like to restart LDplayer. Click on " Restart now" button to restart this Android simulator.
Note: Please ensure that you restart the Android simulator before proceeding with the following steps.

Install Android Emulator -- Google Android Studio on Mac computer
Note: To get Epubor Kobo Converter to work well, please download the right version of Android Studio from the button below.

After the installer is successfully downloaded, please double-click the downloaded file and follow your on-screen instructions to install Android Studio.
Step 2. Create an Android device on Google Android Studio
Next, click the More Actions dropdown and select Virtual Device Manager.
Then click Create Device to create a virtual Android device.
Next select Phone and choose Medium Phone as a device type, then select click Next.
Next, select a system image. Please ensure you choose Android 9.0(Google APIs) from "X86 Images" section, and click the "Download" arrow to download the necessary files, then click Next.
Next, rename your virtual device and click Finish to complete the device configuration.
Once finished, please return to the "Device Manager" and you can click Play icon to launch emulator.
Step 3. Install Kobo for Android APK on Android emulator
Download the kobo for Android APK from the link below and drag it to the Android emulator you launched before.
Note: It will take a few seconds to install the APK, please wait patiently.
On windows, the kobo app has been installed successfully, you can easily find the Kobo icon at the home screen.
On Mac, it may not show up at the home page after the kobo apk has been installed successfully. Please hold the circle button on the home screen of the Android emulator and slide up to find the Kobo app.
Step 4. Download Kobo audiobooks and ebooks to PC/Mac with Android emulator
Now run the Kobo app and log into your Kobo account.
Then you can go to the "Bookshelf", and click the "Download" icon to download the audiobooks and ebooks you would like to convert.
Once the book has downloaded successfully, the download button will disappear.
Step 5. Run Epubor Kobo Converter to convert Kobo Audiobooks and eBooks
Launch Epubor Kobo Converter and click "Refresh" button to load and display your downloaded Kobo books in the left panel.
Then drag them to the right side and click "Start conversion" button to convert your Kobo books.
After the conversion is completed, click the "Open" button at the top to open the folder where you can find all the converted Kobo books.
Frequently Asked QuestionsQ: My Kobo books don't show in the left panel?
Step 1: Please keep your Android emulator running. If your Android emulator is not running, please launch it.
Step 2: If the downloaded Kobo books still don't show up in the Epubor Kobo Converter, please keep clicking the "Refresh" button until your books are loaded successfully.
Q: "Convert failed" issue.
Solution 1: Please ensure your kobo books have downloaded successfully before starting the conversion.
How to ensure your Kobo books downloaded successfully? On Kobo for Android, click on "Home">>"Account icon" at the top right corner>>"Manage Downloads". If you can find your kobo books in the "Manage Downloads", your kobo books have been downloaded successfully. 
Solution 2:
If you ensure your books have downloaded successfully but still encountered a conversion failure, please try to open the book in the Kobo for Android app. If you receive the 'Kobo content error' (see screenshot below), remove this download from "Manage Downloads" and redownload it again.
Solution 3: If your Kobo audiobooks show "Convert failed", after checking the above two workarounds, you may need to check your internet connection. Please make sure your internet is connected well.
