As of today (Feb 6, 2023), I have one new book (Magic Tides by Ilona Andrews) that gives me this message: Your Kindle app requires an update to view this content. Click here [link] to download and install the free updates (supported OS: Windows 10, Windows 8).
I obviously don't want to do that. Any work arounds?

I tried a book that was permanent not a rented book and it said it didn't drm rented books
It is new 2023 book so I dont know why unless it cant do the new book even though it was downloaded
I downgraded kindle to version 3.12 but unable to download book that I just purchased a few days ago. I was able to download the book when I upgraded kindle it's latest version.
I purchased Epubor today (3/1/2025).
I have a 2023 Macbook running macOS Sequoia 15.3.1, loaded with plenty of HD and RAM. I downloaded Epubor from the email link provided after purchasing, unziped, and attempted to install, and received "Apple could not verify “Ultimate.pkg” is free of malware that may harm your Mac or compromise your privacy" and only gave me two options: "Done" or "Move to Trash."
Please help or refund.
i have a kindle book that was published in 2023 that i want to convert to pdf so that i can have it on my reMarkable device. i’ve tried everything i know how on calibre but nothing has worked. using an old kindle app version for mac doesn’t work because this book requires an updated version of the app to access/read it. i have a physical kindle but using that method to download it to my laptop doesn’t work either because the “download via USB” on amazon isn’t available for this book either. does epubor have a workaround in place that doesn’t require an old version of the kindle app or a “download via USB” method that would work for me to convert a kfx file to pdf?
I downloaded the trial version of the epubor kindle converter because it sounded like I could convert my current (mid-2023) books to epub, but the converter doesn't let me convert any current kindle books. Is this a problem with the converter or am I missing something? I'd really like to be able to change my kindle books to epub for security.
Also: none of the epubor products let me "drag and drop" even though it says I can on the screen.

After having bought "Epubor Ultimate" the 2023-07-14 su http://www.epubor.com! at € 36,59 with PayPal with ordine 213894547 I installed on my MacBook Pro M1 MAX with macOS Ventura 13.4.1 and with Kindle 1.40.1 I was told to downgrade to Kindle 1.31. After having don this I cannot find anymore where are (the path of the folder) store the books!! And Kindle INSIST that I must update the kindle Application!!

I purchased epubor ultimate in March 2023. When I open it now is crashes after a few seconds.
I can send my crash log outside this forum if needed.
Hi, It's now impossible to remove the DRM with any version of Kindle (1.40, 2.40 etc...) under Windows 10. They are all locked. Any solution? Otherwise Epubor Ultimate is useless and Ultimate Converter only works for books beforer 2023.

The KCR Converter of December 2023 1.0.1.92. doesn't show books on the Kindle library sidebar. I do have the licensed version of Epubor Ultimate which does show the Kindle books and can process them easily, but the KCR Converter doesn't show any Kindle books and there is no way to change the default Kindle library path to make sure the kcr files are located in the right Kindle path.
I have a NOOK GlowLight 4 Plus (2023) BNRV1300. I downloaded and decrypted a bunch of books using Epubor Nook Converter. I then copied the decrypted books to the NOOK directory of the Nook. I have a couple problems. Even though I copied about one hundred books onto the Nook it shows only some of them, like 80 or 89. I can see all the books in the directory. Also, when I try to read some of the books it tries to load them then displays "Error opening book - This book contains formatting errors or the file has been corrupted." I can open and read the book from the Nook directory on my computer. I don't know if this is a Nook problem or an Epubor problem?
