neither my fire nor my ipad will recognize azw3 files anymore when uploading? Has Amazon done something? Help...

So sorry - I don't have an answer but I am curious about this too. If you de-register kindle on the Mac, the deregister is for your whole kindle account. Across all devices I would think. So once the Mac is de-registered/re-registered, I would think each device would have to be added again under the amazon/device area and all books would have to be downloaded again on each device.
go to amazon.com/Account & Lists/Your Content & Devices and re-register the device... I am guessing as I have not loaded the old software
